Creator Agreement

Effective version: 2026-09-12. By becoming a creator you agree to these terms.

Also see the Terms of Service (buyer license and platform rules).

Marketplace rules
What we expect from every public listing.
  • You may only upload work you created or have clear rights to sell or give away. You must not download another creator’s .3dm from this site (or copy their work from elsewhere) and list it as yours.
  • Listings must be accurate. Don’t misrepresent origin, licensing, or what the buyer receives.
  • Blocks must be built in Rhino 3D. Importing from other programs (like SketchUp) often causes incompatibilities and isn’t ready to list.
  • We may remove or delist content, suspend uploads, or ban accounts that break these rules, risk buyers, or abuse the platform. Serious or repeated violations can lead to a permanent ban.
Rights, copyright, and responsibility
Ownership, buyer license, and who bears infringement risk.

You keep copyright in work you own. When you list a Block publicly, buyers get the license described in the Terms of Service: use in their own Rhino projects (including commercial client work), not resale or redistribution of the .3dm as a product, and not presenting your Block as something they designed.

When you publish a public Block listing, you warrant that you created the work or have clear rights to distribute the Rhino files and other listing materials; that the listing is accurate; and that the listing and files do not infringe third-party rights (including copyright, design rights, and trademarks).

Credit alone does not replace permission. If a listing is or is based on a specific designer’s work, credit that designer (and rights holder when relevant) on public listings.

You are responsible for claims that your listing or files infringe someone else’s rights. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless nanu design (enskild firma) and 3dm Bank against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your public listings or from a breach of these warranties, to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

We take no responsibility for measurement discrepancies on the listing or in the file.

FAQ

Preparing your .3dm
A few habits that keep blocks easy to use in the catalog.
  • Build the geometry in Rhino 3D. If you pull something in from another program, (like SketchUp or similar) and only export again, the file is often messy—you end up chasing layers, blocks, and stray bits before it feels solid.
  • Put the block at the model origin so it inserts predictably. Select a point of the geometry, then type 0,0,0 into the command field.
  • Capture previews in a shaded or rendered mode—not Wireframe—so covers and side views read clearly in the catalog.
  • Run Purge. Rhino opens a dialog so you can remove unused blocks, layers, materials, and annotation styles; confirm what to delete, then run it again if it still finds something to clean up.
  • Keep layers tidy—fewer, clearly named layers beat a long list nobody can navigate.
